Sunday School

Sunday School is so important to the continued spiritual growth of our children – and it’s fun! Kiddos who are 3 years old through our High School class meet at 9:00am each Sunday morning for a lesson, snack and more. At the end of the class, children will return to sit with their parents in the sanctuary to continue their journey. Parents are invited to sign-up as substitute team teachers, or to bring an occasional snack for the group.

God’s Kids Club

God’s Kids Club has been going strong for over 30 years! This program Wednesday night program is for our youngest age group – kiddos who are 3 years old up to current 5th graders. Each classroom is staffed with 2 adults who lead fun lessons and discussion on important Bible lessons. Each age group does a service project activity for our community, and holds a craft night, and all ages are a part of our Christmas program & celebration. GKC runs from mid-September through March. A registration form is available on the website.

4JC

4JC’s (For Jesus Christ) is a special Wednesday night program for our Middle School age kids (6th-8th Grade). We focus on relevant, everyday issues that students face, and try to figure out where Jesus Christ fits in with that. Some of the topics we cover include Stress, Temptation, Peer Pressure, Relationships, and praying for our friends. But we also make sure to set aside ample time for games, group bonding, snacks and fun! We always welcome new participants to our Wednesday group! Meets 6:15-7:30.

The Fire

For the High School crowd, we offer The Fire! Our focus this year is “What is your worldview?” A worldview is simply the way a person thinks about the world around them: including politics, social issues, education, friendships and everything in between. Our goal is to help our youth develop and grow in their understanding of who God is, who they are in His world, and how they should view this world. We meet on Wednesdays, 7:45-9:00, and each 4th Sunday, 5:00-7:00pm.

Wednesday Family Nite

Families are so busy with work, school extra-curricular activities and general running around! We try to help simplify at least one day out of the week by providing a healthy meal for the entire family. Meals are served 5:30-6:30pm each Wednesday, and a free-will offering is accepted. This meal is open to the community!
We also offer various programming for adults during our Wednesday activities: Contact the church for more information.

Drama Ministry

About once a month our drama ministry, organizes short skits called Faith in ACTion as a part of our morning worship. Skits can be coordinated with the pastor’s sermon topic, or may be written especially for a specific church event. About every other year, the Drama team will host a large community event such as a dinner theater, or host a community service such as Good Friday. The team also sometimes assists with our Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter celebrations.

Mission Trip to White Earth, Minnesota

For the past 12 years, we have sent a group of youth and adults to White Earth, Minnesota to provide a week-long VBS experience for 2 different Native American reservations. It is always a memorable experience for those who attend! Anyone high school age and older is invited to join us! We also do various work projects in the area, and attend a native pow wow celebration at the end of the week.

Mary & Martha Circle is a women’s Bible study that meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm at LLRC. We are currently studying II Peter. Prayer requests and prayer is a part of our time together. We conclude with coffee and a snack together in the Fellowship Hall.

Afterglow Bible Study is a couples Bible study that meets in various homes the second Sunday of each month (excluding the summer months) at 7:00pm. Currently we are studying the life of David. Prayer and a light snack is also included.

“IF” (Inspiration & Fellowship) Meeting meets every third Monday at Ilene Docter’s home at 1:00pm. The purpose of “IF” is to encourage women in their faith as we watch a Beth Moore Bible study tape, lift each other up in prayer, and laugh together with a “fun” game of Train Dominoes. Before we leave,  we enjoy a time of fellowship around the table with a light snack.

Men’s Morning Group enjoys coffee and fellowship at Homestead Eatery in downtown Firth every Friday morning at 6:00am. Topics change, just like the Nebraska weather. Please join us!
